2)BEING CARBON NEUTRAL: OFFSETTING 23 TONS OF CO2
Environmental conservation is part of our firm’s DNA. We are the FIRST LEGAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTING FIRM recognized and certified as Carbon Neutral (CO2) in the Dominican Republic by TÜV Rheinland.
This achievement is the result of our ability to measure, reduce, and offset the CO2 emissions generated throughout our operations.
Those of us who make up SANTRONI PARSONS take our responsibility to collaborate, from the private sector, in reducing national emissions by 2030 very seriously, in accordance with the commitments undertaken by the Dominican State. Based on the ISO 14064-1:2006 standard, we calculate our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, also using as a reference “The Carbon Neutral Protocol: The Global Standard for Carbon Neutral Programmes,” 2021 edition.
Our operations generated twenty-three tons of CO2 annually, and the emissions index per person was two point seventy-four tons of CO2 per year. These emissions are offset annually through various initiatives.
3) COMMUNITY IMPACT
Promoting initiatives that create an impact is a responsible way to contribute to the development of the community and those who need it most. The firm collaborates monthly with Hogar Madelaes, a home for orphaned girls or girls living in extreme poverty.
